I hope the kids are getting hyped ahead of the tournament this Friday. We have now wrapped up the final details with the Community Liaison Officer. In the meantime, I can confirm the following:
Headlines:
- Date: Friday 21st Marc
- P4 tournament
- Post match entertainment: Glasgow Warriors vs Munster
Tickets (match and bus):
- All tickets for the match squad and family members are currently held on the account of Coach Alasdair.
- All tickets will be available for sale via the club website. PLEASE ONLY BUY WHAT YOU HAVE REQUESTED FOR BOTH THE BUS AND MATCH (I will send a reminder at the point the tickets are released with what was confirmed)
- The playing squad will not face any additional fees for the additional tickets we bought to fit our large squad in.
- Bus tickets will be for all participants and families and priced per the 1872 cup arrangements, specifically £8 for children, £8 for adult social members and £12 for adult non social members (social memberships available online: https://lenzierfc.com/online-membership-office/)
- If it is at all possible, I will transfer the match tickets to one member of each family. If not, I’ll scan you in, one after the other.
- For ticket transfer to be possible you will require the Scottish Rugby ticketing app on your phone.
- As it’s a group booking, they have made no account for groups of children and parents but we are all grouped together so feel free to sit and switch as you like.
Travel:
- OUTWARD: Departing Lenzie Old Public Hall (next to the CoOp) 16.30pm
- OUTWARD: Arrival: Scotstoun Stadium 17.15pm
- RETURN: Departing Scotstoun 21.45pm (approx)
- RETURN: Drop off at Lenzie Old Public Hall 22.30 (approx)
Food and drink:
- We would ask you to feed and water your children before we leave, but also pack your backpack with snacks.
- I believe we will be able to bring bags into the stadium but this one detail I am yet to confirm.
- If you would like your child to have hot food at the match, you can either meet them at half time or leave cash with a coach who will buy using cashless means. (Scotstoun is a cashless venue)
Packing details
- Children should arrive ready to play with LRFC shirt, gumshield and warm clothes for when they are not playing
- Ffollowing the tournament, they should have trousers, a warm jacket and warm hat for the Glasgow Warriors match.
- As noted above, the children can pack snacks for the match in a small rucksack (to be verified)
- Please make sure the bag is well labelled with your child’s name.
